KIRCHHOFF'S VOLTAGE LAW

KIRCHHOFF'S VOLTAGE LAW

2 ACTIVITIES: 2 identical bulbs - series - parallel

Description:

I suggest here that you experimentally discover kirchhoff's voltage law for series and parallel circuit. Instructions are displayed here. We are first asked to connect elements in series measure the voltages and find a conclusion.

Definition

Kirchhoff's Voltage Law: this law is known as follows: "The directed sum of the voltages around any closed loop is zero." Here, we are led to say:

- in series, the sum of the voltage at the terminals of a set of components is the sum of the voltages measured at the terminals of each

- in parallel, the voltage is the same everywhere.
